The property: The cottage is built of traditional local materials, and has been restored to a very high standard: retaining many original features such as the terracotta floors and exposed oak beams, and then unobtrusively adding modern conveniences to make a really comfortable home. Entering the front door, you find yourself in the main living area, in welcoming natural colours of cream, terracotta and blue. There is a well equipped corner kitchen, complete with good quality utensils, electric oven, gas hob, fridge and dishwasher. The dining table seats 4, and by the fireplace is a comfy sofa, which can open out for occasional use as a sofabed. The woodburning stove is a warm and welcoming focal point during the cooler months. French doors lead out onto the large south facing terrace and garden. From the living area, a door leads through to the utility room, with washing machine and coat rack, and then through to the modern bathroom. This has a full size bath with overhead shower, sink and w.c. |
