The property: The open plan sitting room offers large comfortable sofas and beautiful original oak flooring. The huge ‘A frame’ oak beams and 12ft high ceilings give the barn a wonderful feeling of space and calming, convivial atmosphere. There is a wood burner which is just great for winter nights snuggled up on the sofa with a good book and glass of wine! . You will enjoy the comforts of a projector TV displayed on an impressive screen with an excellent home cinema surround sound, (for an optional extra you can enjoy the full sky packages including: movies, children’s & sports) A huge library of family videos, Hi-fi CD player, IPOD docking station and WIFI access. There are also lots of board games for the entire family, a large library of books, plus lots of puzzles and children's toys for when your friends and family visit with their little ones! The large kitchen is the social hub of the barn and is very well equipped including a large 5 burner range cooker, (great for when cooking for large numbers) a large farmhouse table, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer plus two drinks fridges and ironing facilities. The barn has two double bedrooms, one twin and a triple bedroom, all with air conditioning units. Furnished to exceptionally high standards offering very comfortable quality beds. All of the double beds are antiques and give the rooms a very special feel of individuality. One of the twin rooms has two adult size beds whilst the other has a bunk bed and single bed this then gives the kids more room to play. You will also find book cases packed with children’s toys & story books. Each bathroom has been equipped with luxurious modern home comforts including a Jacuzzi bath, separate multi-jet shower systems and marble-top hand basins. |

Outside Area: The huge 12x6 meter swimming pool is surrounded by 150m² of decking with lots of sun loungers. The pool has been specifically designed and built with children's enjoyment in mind and has both a SAFETY FENCE and has lockable child safety gates. The shallow end is only 1.05m deep (i.e. shallower than normal), so young children can stand in the water easily. The pool has a large terrace & an additional raised decked area, which is shaded by a large walnut tree. Here there are café-style tables & chairs, a great place for the kids to play out of the sun. Please note - the large pool is shared with all three of our gîtes. The shade of the wrought iron gazebo on your private terrace area gives a welcome break from the midday sun, it is also the perfect spot to relax & enjoy the views of the pool & the beautiful gardens, as lunch is served! You will also find quality garden furniture and a herb garden for you to pick mint from to enjoy your 'pimms' on the deck at 5pm! |

Surrounding Area: Le Pressoir is only a 2 minute stroll from the centre of Angles. Located so close to the village, you can either take a leisurely walk down in the morning to pick up your fresh baguette and croissants, or stroll down in the evenings to a choice of great restaurants. You don’t have to load all the kids in the car (plus all of the equipment that comes with having a family) to have a great meal. The village has its own Office de Tourisme, as well as a post office, two banks, a hairdresser, a beauty salon, an aromatherapist, a pharmacy, five cafés/bars and four restaurants. There are also two supermarkets, two butchers, a fishmonger and a fruit & vegetable shop. The large fishing port of l'Aiguillon is just 10 minutes away.
