The property: ‘Annie’s House’ is our delightful, welcoming, cosy, cottage recently restored to a high standard. Great care and attention has been taken to tastefully decorated her and ensure she retains her French rustic charm.

The ground floor consists of the living room, kitchen and la salle de bain. The living room and kitchen are tiled with the original terracotta floor tiles and the walls are of the luminous tuffeau stone, typical of the val de loire. Electrical wall heaters keep these rooms cosy and warm. The salle de bain is decorated in white and blue tiles, this fresh, airy room has a strong large shower and a wall heater to hang/dry towels on.

The first floor is the bedroom, lead to by a wooden staircase from the living room. The bedroom floor is wooden to ensure feet remain warm whilst exposed oak beams and tuffeau stone walls retain the character of this delightful room. An electrical wall heater keeps this room cosy and warm.

Bed linen, household linen and towels can be provided if required at no extra charge.

Storage space: items can be stored in our barn should storage space be required.

Additional Information: We are a French/Anglo family and for those of you seeking to buy in France we have personal experience and excellent contacts with French artisans. Having rennovated our own property we know the pitfalls and the advantage taken of overseas investors. Outside Area: Annie’s House has her own independant car parking space and terrace garden with a fabulous uninterrupted view across the Loire plain in excess of 25 kms. Our troglodyte caves add to our estates charm and make an interesting discovery as they still house an old wine press and functional bread oven.

Surrounding Area: A 55 minute drive from Angers Airport our delightful village is surrounded by vineyards, stunning countryside and picturesque sleepy hamlets making an afternoon stroll a true ‘discovery’. The impressive Loire Valley châteaux begin a mere 8kms away and the ‘must see’ villages, Candes St Martin, Montsoreau & Fontevraud are a 20 minute drive away. Conveniently close to Saumur, Chinon, Angers and Tours our location means you only are a short drive from the historical and most visited sites of this beautiful region. Not to be forgotten are the fabulous food markets and weekend flea markets hosted by the surrounding towns where a bargain or two can be picked up! Pricing Info: The price of £550 per calendar month is inclusive of bills. A deposit of one month’s rent will be required to confirm your reservation. One month’s rent will be requested in advance upon arrival and upon this same date from thereon. All damage and breakages to 'Annie's House' will be chargeable and taken from the held deposit. Payment can be made in the form of a Pound Sterling cheque.
