The property:  Timeless classics are often the best! These are the original houses of Etang Vallier. They offer basic accommodation and comfort, built around 1980 and maintained in working and functional order, with small improvements over the years to accommodate families in basic comfort.

The Classic kitchen is well-equipped with the basics and with plenty of counter space and storage for a comfortable stay.

One bedroom is a double (either a 140cm bed or two 90cm beds). The second bedroom is for 4 guests with 1 bunk bed, a single bed and a fourth granny bed if needed. The living room offers a sofa bed (140 cm). The villa has basic French satellite service.
The Classic villas is perfect for visits all year. There is electric heating as well as a fireplace in the salon/dining area. You can easily purchase wood locally. The hot water heater is electric as well. 

Outside Area: The villa is set on a spacious, partially wooded garden and has a covered south facing terrace. In the holiday park, there are 40 houses, swimming/fishing lake with a sandy beach, restaurant, play areas, shared outdoor pool (open in summer), summer activities open to all, hiking trails, etc. Despite all the activities and services available, the site is calm and quiet.

Etang Vallier is a true country retreat, just 2 km from the center of Brossac Village. Enjoy the heart of the French countryside, yet also the finest of French culture. Angouleme is a 45 minute drive and Bordeaux about 1 hour. The Atlantic beaches are just over an hour away, if you can tear yourself away from the lake beach and activities on site.

Farm Visits

Local farms and wineries open their doors in the summer to a multitude of visitors. Enjoy small farm visits, mini-train rides through vineyards, and of course wine and pineau tasting in numerous villages. Several local producers come to Etang Vallier during the summer months to show off their produce... offer tastings and a nice sampling of local fare!

Swimming lake and restaurant

Etang Vallier is a wonderful little lake covering 4 hectares. Lounge on the sandy beach, or under the pines nearby the water. Enjoy an ice cream concoction, local wines, or a full menu on the restaurant terrace overlooking the lake.

Pool

The shared pool is open from mid June to early September (no lifeguard on duty)

Moto-Quad Rentals

Moto-quads are available just 3km away for hourly rentals, with an on site obstacle course, and multiple paths through the nearby forests to enjoy (driver's license not mandatory). If you are a new rider, you can also opt for a lesson prior to starting out on the course!(starting at 5 years of age)

Equestrian Activities

There are a number of nearby equestrian centres available to accommodate all skill levels. For true horse lovers, the Chalais International Horse Jumping competition happens each year at the end of August and attracts professional riders as well as amateur enthousiasts from all over the world.

Services

Brossac is a sleepy little village, but most services are available: pharmacy, Spar grocery store, boulangerie, post office, restaurants, bars, tennis club (court rentals), garage, small market with a selection of local products every Saturday mornings.

Markets

Nearby, Chalais has a larger market (Mondays) plus super market, boutiques, internet cafe, multiple restaurants and bars. Barbezieux has a Tuesday market, and even more shopping, hospital and multiple banks.

Pricing Info: 1 month deposit required. Electricity and water paid separately, linens and other services are available - please request prices. The villa can be adapted to your needs depending on the length of stay. Payment can be by French cheque, bank transfer, cash, bank card. The initial rental period must be agreed upon prior to occupation and 1st and last month paid in advance. The remaining months may be paid monthly.
Availability: Available immediately.
Minimum rental period: 6 months if summer included, 1 month other than June, July, August, September.
