Very good shopping facilities and boutiques to be found in the arcaded old streets and an excellent covered market which is open every day. The house is within a fifteen minute walk to the central Place de Verdun and around 20 minutes to the Old Port, there is also an excellent bus service operating throughout the town and regional buses to places like Ile de Ré, Rochefort and Royan. The main railway station offers a very fast 3 hour TGV link to Paris. There are also regular train services to Bordeaux and Poitiers. |
