The property:  The two gîtes, Riverbank and Riverview have been recently renovated to a high standard. They offer different styles of accommodation but both include kitchen with dining table and chairs, lounge with 2 sofas, woodburner and TV/DVD player (with Sky Freeview). The kitchen area is fully equipped with a fridge freezer, cooker, washing machine* and microwave, as well as toaster and kettle. Upstairs, Riverbank has a mezzanine with a seating area that converts to a double bed. This leads to a large bedroom with a king size bed and sofa bed. Riverview has 2 good size bedrooms, one double and one twin. Both gîtes have modern shower rooms with toilets and vanity units.

Outside Area: Moulin Tixier is located in a picturesque valley. The gîtes are situated on a 7 acre site, with a pretty river and waterfalls cascading between ancient mill ruins. Riverbank has a large covered seating area (seats 6-8) with wooden garden table and chairs. This area benefits from the afternoon and evening sun. Riverview has a private decked terrace with a wonderful view of the river winding through the trees and benefits from the morning and midday sun. In the summer months there is an above ground pool (24ft by 12ft).

Surrounding Area: The Limousin, with its many still lakes, fast flowing rivers, green valleys dotted with French farms and famous limousin cows, ravines and forested mountains, is one of the best kept secrets of France.

Moulin Tixier is the ideal base from which to discover the vast range of activities available throughout the year. Discover the delights of the surrounding area and its wonderful woodland walks, fishing, pony trekking, kayaking, skiing and other outdoor activities, all set in stunning countryside.

For those wanting less energetic activities, the local town of Aubusson has tapestry museums, rose gardens and the ruins of an old castle. The town of Felletin has a great weekly farmer's market and all over the region there are antique street fairs during the summer months.

Moulin Tixier is 3 km from the quaint village of Bellegarde-en-Marche with it's ancient clock tower. The village has a great Boulangerie, Boucheterie and Bar/Tabac.

15 km away is the historic medieval market town of Aubusson, famous for it's tapestries. Set on the Creuse river, this pretty town with it's stunning architecture offers all you need, good restaurants, tea/coffee shops, bars, shops, banks and supermarkets.

Riverbank: £375 pcm. Riverview: £425 pcm.

Included in the rental are charges for water and local taxes. Additional charge for telephone, electricity and gas based on usage. Logs are available for a nominal fee.
