The property:  Dove Cottage is situated on the edge of a friendly hamlet amidst forest and pasture land. It has two double bedrooms with new kingsize bedsteads (one with cot). There is also a small twin room with adult size divans. The shower room and two WCs are also on this floor. On the ground floor there is a large lounge/diner with kitchen area. It has a lovely fireplace with log burning stove. Two sofas, coffee table and TV with video, numerous films etc for all ages and games console.

The kitchen is well equipped and has fridge freezer, full size cooker (gas hob and electric oven), microwave, washing machine etc. All windows are south facing and look out onto the cottage’s private garden.
All rooms have electric wall mounted heaters.

Outside Area: The cottage has a pretty walled garden with parking area (both for Dove clients only). BBQ and Arbour. Patio furniture. Views across a 'little used' lane towards our neighbours large mature gardens. Barn for storage of your logs, bikes etc. Larger barn also available. The rear walled garden is a communal area for our guests and ourselves and has table tennis table, boules area, lawn, BBQ, luxury swimming pool, sunterrace with loungers, pergola and garden furniture.

The pool is available from April till November .Open countryside views.

Surrounding Area: Only ten minutes drive of three market towns one with a lovely château and fishing lake. All with shops and essential bakeries and bar restaurants. The rolling countryside is part arable and part forest. There are many lakes and rivers, some with sandy beaches. Sports and leisure activities on offer include, riding, fishing, shooting, cycling, rambling, canoeing, golf, karting, swimming, ice skating, sailing etc.

Other local amenities, Cinema, themed evenings at a local lake side restaurant, evening and day classes in dancing, art, French etc. Clubs for adults and children including competitions in football, ping pong, martial arts, tennis plus lots more!

Our local private school is excellent and very reasonable at approx 25 euros a month! School bus 'pick up point' nearby. Trilingual head master who is very keen to integrate the English children into French school life quickly.
English speaking Doctors, Dentist, Vets.
Excellent hospitals at Niort and Poitiers.
Easy access to the UK via airports at Poitiers, La Rochelle, Limoges, Tours and Angouleme (in the near future). TGV/Eurostar via stations at Ruffec, Niort and Poitiers. Only four and a half hours from St Malo ferry port.
