The property: The Villa has been built in the traditional style of this area, but with all modern comforts, renovated with taste and character to offer a welcoming home from home for longer visits. A lot of thought has been given to its suitability for longer stays, and we hope you will find many small touches to make your stay comfortable and welcoming. Each winter we have very much enjoyed welcoming guests for longer periods, be it searching for their new home, taking a break from the ‘hurley burley’ of life, or setting up a new business….

‘We had no idea such a warm welcome and generous hosts awaited us at 'Les Perdigots' - they have been wonderfully accepting of Jack (our slightly daft English Cocker), and have never tired of our probing questions on the reality of living in France!’ The Harper Gregorys, now resident in France.

The house is all on the same level, completely detached, with pretty countryside on all sides. A terrace provides lovely views of the Pyrenees on the horizon, and a large informal garden gives plenty of space for children and adults alike.

Entering the Villa by the front door, you find yourself in the roomy hallway, with useful storage and coat rack. On the right is the spacious kitchen and dining room, and to your left is the separate living room.

The fully fitted kitchen is bright and sunny, with fully fitted units, dishwasher, microwave, fitted oven and hob, and good quality cooking utensils, china and glasses, together with thoughtful extras such as breadbaskets, garlic press, candle holders and toaster. The dining table seats 4 – 6 easily, and the open fireplace is very cosy for cooler evenings.

The living room is definitely for relaxing. There are two large three-seater sofas, throws, cushions and rugs for the cooler months, coffee table, and a traditional Godin belle époque woodburning stove – which is as pretty as it is practical. The UK Terrestrial TV, Video Player, CD Player and library of books and videos provide plenty of choices for entertainment, and ADSL Internet Access makes staying in touch with work or friends very easy (all though of course you don’t have to make use of it!). One sofa is a fully sprung sofa bed, so very handy for extra visitors.

At the end of the hallway you will find the two bedrooms, bathroom and separate wc.

The bathroom, decorated in periwinkle blue and cream, has a shower, sink & bidet, washing machine, and large fitted cupboard.

The twin bedded room in provençal colours, has two cast iron beds, (1m x 2m) and a large fitted wardrobe. Bedside tables, Moroccan mirror and lamps complete this comfortable room.

The double room has an antique cast iron bed (90 x 140cm), chest of drawers, wardrobe, bedside shelves and lamps. A sunny room in shades of blue and white, looking out over the garden to the fields and soft hillsides beyond.

Outside Area: The Villa is a completely independent building, situated on the east side of the large grassy courtyard of ‘Les Perdigots’ at the centre of 4 acres of fields and mature trees. On the west side of the courtyard you’ll find our farmhouse, facing southwards is our other gite, ‘The Bakehouse’, and the north side is home to the vegetable ‘potager’, surrounded by peach trees and roses.

The large informal garden with mature shrubs and flowers surrounds the house, and leads off to peaceful views of fields, woodland and the distant Pyrénées. Our three resident French horses will often be found in the field adjacent to your garden, are very sociable, and enjoy being your neighbours!

It is not uncommon to see deer from the terrace at dawn and dusk, and often warm enough in winter to sit out on when it’s sunny, even in January! The terrace has a large table and 6 chairs, two sunloungers, and a portable BBQ.

Your own parking space is found to the rear of the property.

Surrounding Area: Only an hour from Toulouse, and just one and a half hours from the Pyrénées and the Spanish border, The Villa gives you plenty of choices when exploring this lovely part of southwest France.

Closer to home, the shops, cafés and amenities of our local village, L’Isle-en-Dodon, are only a five minute drive or pleasant 25 minute stroll away. This lovely little 14th century former Bastide town - with its fortified church and half timbered houses –has patisseries, cafés, good grocers and butchers, a weekly Saturday market, and leisure area with swimming lake and tennis. This is a region of rolling hills and valleys, a patchwork of small farms and woodland, with a pretty village or church around every corner.

You really can find something to suit all tastes in this region, from museums and galleries in Toulouse and Auch, to wine tasting and relaxation spas, caves and adventure parks, chateaux and cathedrals.

We have good golf courses, riding stables, lake sailing and windsurfing, and canoeing on local rivers, and you can even go microlighting or parapenting!

Winter sports enthusiasts can be on the ski-slopes within an hour-and-a-half, where good value equipment hire and professional tuition are readily available. Sledging, cross-country skiing, snowmobile outings and dog-sledging are all available for a wonderful day out in the crisp mountain air.

Pricing Info: Prices are from 750 Euros per month and depend on time of year and length of stay. The booking deposit is 1 Months rental in advance to secure the booking. 200 Euros returnable damage deposit is required. Services and logs are charged at cost price. Bed linen and towels are provided. A cleaning service can be provided at an additional cost.
