The property: The house has been recently renovated and decorated in a contemporary style. The house living room is situated on the first floor and has a wonderful view. It is cosy and equipped with a television, DVD, a selection of DVD’s and a CD player. It is heated by a wood burning stove. There is also a double sofa bed for visiting friends. There are two double bedrooms, one with an ensuite shower room and one with an ensuite bath and hydro massage shower. Both rooms are situated at the front of the house and have a panoramic view over the valley. The dining kitchen has a large gas cooker, microwave, large fridge, freezer and dishwasher. There is also a separate dining room which seats six comfortably, this has also the original bread oven and a wood burning stove which heats the bedrooms and bathrooms. Next to the dining room is a cloakroom and a utility room with a washing room and a dryer. |

Outside Area: Immediately outside the back door is a sheltered terrace with a BBQ, table and chairs, the rest of the garden is accessed via a flight of steps, where there are two other terraces. The second terrace has views over the village. |

Surrounding Area: St Moreil is ten minutes away from Peyrat le Château, a small market town which has bars, restaurants, shop etc. Lake de Vassiviere, which is 30 minutes away and has 45 kms of shoreline offering category two fishing, six man-made beaches, bars and restaurants. Situated on an island in the lake is the Centre of Contemporary Art, a Sculpture Park and many picnic spots. Newly opened is Parc d’arbre en arbre for both children and adults alike. If you prefer a taste of city life and culture, Limoges is 45 minutes away and is famed for its porcelaine and enamel work. The city centre also contains some lovely shops, numerous museums, a 13th century Butcher’s Quarter, both covered and open markets, botanical gardens and a microbrewery complete with bar and pavement side tables so you can sit and watch the world go by. Other places of interest include the medieval market town of St. Léonard de Noblat with a fine example of an 11th century Romanesque church, half timbered houses and shops. Aubusson which of course is famous for tapestry making and which has both permanent and temporary exhibitions of works dating from the 15th Century to the present day. La Souterraine a lively market town and pilgrims halt on the way to St. Jacques de Compostella. Parts of the medieval ramparts such as Portal of St. Jean still stand. Chénérailles boasts the beautiful renaissance Château de Villemonteix. |
