The property:  The Old Walnut Farm is an old traditional farm situated on the edge of Chassaignes, a working village set midway between Riberac and Aubeterre. Chez Tulipe is one of two farm houses (the farm was originally two but combined many years ago). The property is of one storey, with the interior of a modern decoration - light and airy - whilst retaining much of it's rural French charm.

Outside Area: Along with it's neighbouring farmhouse, Chez Valentin, Chez Tulipe stands in 3 acres of grounds, half of which are given over to productive walnut trees, with the rest consisting of lawns and fruit & ornamental trees and shrubs. Located 300 metres from the village The Old Walnut Farm is reached by a metalled lane and there is hard standing for vehicles.

Surrounding Area: The nearest major town with all the usual facilities expected of a good sized English town is Riberac - about 10 minutes drive away. St Antoine Cumond, 5 minutes away is the nearest source for fresh bread and has a restaurant/bar.

We lie at the centre of the triangle Angouleme, Perigueux and Bordeaux - an excellent area for property should you be house hunting; an excellent area should you be just holidaying and exploring.
