The property: Situated on the edge of a friendly hamlet, in the beautiful Corrèze countryside, our property consists of a three bedroom fully furnished house with a pool, a barn and a small traditional house set on approx 2 acres of meadow and gardens. Built 30 years ago, the house has many lovely features including a full length conservatory which has fabulous views of the countryside and has the benefit of extending the summer. Our house consists of a newly installed kitchen, a lounge / dining room, 3 double bedrooms, a new bathroom with toilet and a separate new toilet room. There is also a patio area outside of the conservatory, with a south-facing garden. The house has storage heaters and a log burning fire for the winter months. There is a new septic tank and a new water heater that has been installed to serve both the house and the barn. There is a 10m x 4m heated pool at the back of the house with steps going up to it from the drive and the area surrounding the pool has been paved. There is also a utility room under the house plumbed for washing machines, dryers. Also there is a wine cellar, a garage and another room suitable for storage.

There is a second small house in original stone typical of the area, and in need of total renovation.

There is also a  barn built in block and partially renovated downstairs with two rooms, a shower room and a toilet with its own separate water heater.

Outside Area: It really is a wonderful, peaceful situation. The views here are fabulous ! There are approximately 2 acres of land consisting of meadows and garden. Most of the land has a slight gradient being on a hillside. At the top of our property our neighbours run a pony club which is great fun for children.

Surrounding Area: We are only 3 minutes away from our nearest village which has all the necessary shops such as an '8 to 8' supermarket, a bakers, butchers, post office a nursery school and primary school and a couple of little cafés. The market town of Objat is 10 minutes away with all necessary amenities (shops, supermarkets, doctors, vets, dentist, secondary schools ). Arnac Pompadour is 20 minutes, home of the National Anglo-Arab Stud and the famous race course. They hold ongoing shows, racing, show jumping and other equestrian events. Pompadour also has a fabulous château and some excellent restaurants, not to mention the famous Madame Le Heche's shop which is the nearest thing to a take away and serves the most delicious local delicacies. There is a railway station, which has high speed train links to Paris and the South. Limoges is 40-minutes north with a beautiful old city centre and an airport (serviced by low cost airline RyanAir to many UK airports). We are directly on the Route de Richard Coeur de Lion, Richard the Lion heart and the route de pommes. Our area is renowned for apple growing, duck, particularly confit de canard and foie gras , walnuts and peaches.

If you are looking to move here permanently rural France is like going back in time, it's relaxed, quiet and safe. The health service is second to none and they also have an excellent education system. The locals are friendly and we have been made very welcome. We're far enough south to have a better climate, but not so far as to sacrifice grazing!
