First floor
Three large bedrooms, all decorated differently, some are furnished with Louis Philippe and Louis XVI antique furniture. There is also a cot available. There are a mixture of double and twin rooms.
There are two other bedrooms which can be made available on request.

Outside Area: There are three gardens. One with a cherry tree which is used for drying clothes, one which is used for playing or resting and an orchard.

There is a terrace with table and chairs and a barbecue.

There is also a large parking area within the grounds.

Surrounding Area: The farmhouse stands in the middle of the Cotentin and Bessin Regional Nature Park, 6 kms from the birds reserve of Les Douve. It is also on one of the old pilgrims trails, on the interior path from Barfleur to Mont Saint Michel. Marchesieux is on one of the 25 discovery veloroutes which have been designed to explore the marshlands. Accompanied cycle rides from 20 to 30 kms at a moderate pace are organised locally.

Historical places within easy reach include Bayeux, all the D-Day beaches including Arromanche, home of the famous Mulberry Harbour, Caen where the war museum attracts many visitors, Mont Saint Michel and the other pilgrimage town of Lisieux.

Activities
The house is literally five minutes from a Golf Club in the centre of Manche, which has a cafeteria where you can order set meals or take pot luck and eat some traditional savoury crepes with local cider. The cafeteria is open all day every day and the club organises Golf Competitions throughout the year.

Next to the Golf Course is the lake "L'etang de Sarcelle" where you can hire a paddling boat. There is also a miniature passenger railway two kms away, running every day from Easter, a mini-golf, children play area, lovely lakeside walks, fitness trail, and a cycle route which passes by the house. Opposite the Golf Club is a driving range and a model village which recreates 1930s France.

There are also stables in Marchesieux which organise horse riding parties. Fishing, both sea and freshwater is extremely popular in Manche and is available for you to enjoy at a location of your choice. There are also a number of marinas on both coasts all easily accessible.

Other comments: This property is also available for summer holiday rentals.

Pricing Info: The price is £550 per month for Winter lets from October to March inclusive. Further periods can be negotiated. For shorter lets it is £270 to £475 per week depending on season. Linen available at no extra cost. House cleaning-up: 35 euros. Logs are available at a nominal fee. Two month’s rent are required as security deposit. A deposit of one month’s rent is required to book the place. Added charge for electricity/ gaz based on usage.
