On the 1st floor is an extra large bedroom with up to 4 single beds and an en suite shower room with basin and WC. The cottage layout with all its main rooms on the ground floor is ideal for guests with mobility difficulties. The property benefits from oil fired central heating along with 2 wood burning stoves in the lounge and dining room. Telephone and internet connection can be arranged for long lets.

Outside Area: To the rear of the cottage is your own private courtyard with private access and covered parking for your car. There is a clothes drying area and an eating area with garden furniture, BBQ and feature Well. To the front of the property is the main courtyard which leads to the mature gardens and swimming pool (summer use only). There are also bikes that can be made available on request.

Surrounding Area: Maison Poirier is located in a small hamlet close to the village of Migron, approximately 20km NE of Saintes and 15 kms NW of Cognac yet only 1hr drive from the Atlantic coast and its amazing beaches, or alternatively you can take advantage of the local countryside, walks in the vineyards and woods surrounding the hamlet, or cycle the myriad of peaceful country lanes. Historic towns such as Angouleme, Poitiers, Saintes, La Rochelle and Cognac are but a short drive away. There are numerous good (and reasonably priced) restaurants in the area and the superb local markets offer an amazing range of seasonal fresh seafood, farm produce and cheeses.
