The Property: The property has been completely renovated and refurbished in a modern style and is well equipped and in excellent condition. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 on each floor, which can be double or twin bedded according to need. In each room there is a wardrobe, a mirror and a chair. They are comfortable and bright. A cot can be supplied. There is a shower room and separate toilet on the ground floor and a bathroom, with shower and a second separate toilet, upstairs. Downstairs there is a large living space with comfortable settees and TV/DVD player. There is also a utility room with washing machine, small fridge, and a two-ring cooker. Upstairs there is a large fully equipped open plan kitchen and dining area. The table can seat up to 12. The property once formed part of the Château de Mariol estate but now has its own large enclosed garden with terrace, lawn, trees and an apple tree. There is parking for 3 cars. There is electric heating. |

Outside Area: The garden is immediately surrounded by the château grounds and is not overlooked. About 100 yards away there is a pool (summer only) shared by residents from 5 other houses. The surrounding area is also shared and has children’s play equipment. |

Surrounding Area: Le Pavillon is on the edge of the village of Mariol, a two-minute walk to the village café and boulangerie and lies in the foothills of the Montagne Bourbonnaise, which is a beautiful area of forests and farmland. From the house and garden one looks across open space to the hills and woods behind. At the same time it is only a two-minute walk to the village café and Boulangerie. Supermarket shopping is 5 minutes away at Champion in St Yorre. Vichy, a lovely spa town with a range of good shops and supermarkets, and an excellent recently opened swimming pool complex, is only 15 minutes away. Vichy is also a lively cultural centre with a very beautiful opera house and médiatheque. The area is good for walking, cycling, fishing and outdoor sports in general and has abundant wildlife to interest nature lovers. For historians there are castles, churches, and museums to explore. |
