The property: La Pergola has 4 bedrooms - 2 master bedrooms, 1 twin and 1 bunk bedroom all with air conditioning units. Each bedroom has wonderful 15ft high oak and cherry ceilings (please see photos) giving a very spacious feel. The ground floor accommodation has 1 master bedroom & the bunk bedroom, Jacuzzi bathroom and separate shower with and WC. On the first floor there is a 2nd master bedroom which has been beautifully furnished with antique furniture. There is also a twin bedroom which can be converted into a huge double, a Jacuzzi bathroom, multi jet shower cubicle, hand wash basin & WC. In the twin bedroom you will also find plenty of toys for when the grandchildren come to visit! For maximum comfort, all double beds have mattress toppers. In the sitting room you have a Projector TV and huge motorised screen - excellent for watching either sports, or a good old fashion film. Full UK sky package is available upon requested. We also supply a huge video library for family entertainment with over 50 top titles, WIFI access plus an I’ pod docking station. The sitting room double doors lead onto a completely private garden which is not overlooked by anyone. There is a chimney style BBQ, plenty of seating and some sun loungers – ideal for reading your newspaper with a fresh coffee and croissant in hand! The open-plan kitchen/sitting room has been meticulously furnished & equipped. There is a large 5 burner range cooker & a large kitchen table, We have everything you would expect to find including dishwasher, washing machine, microwave & a large stainless steel fridge freezer - (very important!) and plenty of serving dishes, crockery and cutlery. La Pergola has been specifically designed in mind to also allow easy access for the elderly or for wheel chair users. We have ramps for easy access, 1 meter wide internal doors, a Jacuzzi bathroom & fully tiled shower room with WC all on the ground floor. |

Outside Area: The huge 12x6 meter swimming pool is surrounded by 150m² of decking with lots of sunloungers. The pool has been specifically designed and built with children's enjoyment in mind and has both a SAFETY FENCE and has lockable child safety gates. The shallow end is only 1.05m deep (i.e. shallower than normal), so young children can stand in the water easily. The pool has a large terrace & an additional raised decked area, which is shaded by a large walnut tree. Here there are café-style tables & chairs, a great place for the kids to play out of the sun. Please note - the large pool is shared with all three of our gîtes. The shade of the wrought iron gazebo on your private terrace area gives a welcome break from the midday sun, it is also the perfect spot to relax & enjoy the views of the pool & the beautiful gardens, as lunch is served! You will also find quality garden furniture and a herb garden for you to pick mint from to enjoy your 'pimms' on the deck at 5pm! |

Surrounding Area: La Pergola is only a 2 minute stroll from the centre of Angles. Located so close to the village, you can either take a leisurely walk down in the morning to pick up your fresh baguette and croissants, or stroll down in the evenings to a choice of great restaurants. You don’t have to load all the kids in the car (plus all of the equipment that comes with having a family) to have a great meal. The village has its own Office de Tourisme, as well as a post office, two banks, a hairdresser, a beauty salon, an aromatherapist, a pharmacy, five cafés/bars and four restaurants. There are also two supermarkets, two butchers, a fishmonger and a fruit & vegetable shop. The large fishing port of l'Aiguillon is just 10 minutes away. Early risers can choose from a range of freshly-caught fish, mussels, oysters, langoustine and gambas at the town's fish market which is open every weekday at 5am. Pricing Info: Prices are based on one family sharing. 50% deposit plus one months security deposit is required at the time of booking with the remaining due 8 weeks prior to arrival and then each month’s rent is due the first day of each month in local currency. Duvet and pillows are supplied, towels and linen on hire. Water and electricity metered and due at the end of each calendar month. Long lets are available from October to May. |
