The property:  The villa is situated on a very quiet Domaine, a short walk above the village, which has a variety of restaurants, a tabac, snack bar and supermarket and just 10 minutes drive from the Mediterranean's stunning sandy beaches and ports. The Domaine rarely has more than 20% occupancy as people own properties from all over Europe so it is very quiet and private even during the summer months.

The property sleeps 7 people comfortably and a maximum of 9 people. There are 3 bedrooms, a spacious open-plan living and dining area, a fully fitted kitchen, bathroom, shower room, covered terrace and a landscaped garden.

Villa no 9 is stylish, modern, comfortable and only five years old. There are two sets of double patio doors leading off from the living area onto the terrace. There are two sofas (one of which is a sofa bed), a dining table with two comfortable benches for long family meals, and a fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, electric oven, halogen hob, extractor fan and a coffee machine.  

The villa also has satellite TV, stereo / dvd player, telephone and internet access. The bedrooms consist of two double rooms, and a further bedroom with a set of bunk beds and a single bed. All bedrooms have plenty of storage with either fitted wardrobes or a cupboard. There is a bathroom with shower attachment over the bath, hand wash basin and WC plus a separate shower room also with basin and WC. The villa has a good selection of games and DVD's. The villa is equipped with effective reverse air con / heating so it is comfortable in both summer and winter.

Outside Area:  The covered terrace has outside table and chairs, sun loungers and a bbq and the garden is landscaped with reasonable views down to the lagoon and Mediterranean.

Surrounding Area: Languedoc Roussillon is a four season place to visit. The climate is mild and sunny with over 300 days of sunshine each year and during the winter months there is plenty to see and do.  

The local area offers lots of possibilities for days out:-

• 1 Underground caves at Ville-Franche (40mins);
• 2 Little yellow train (Petite Train Jaune) that travels up the Pyrénées mountains (40 mins);
• 3 Aqualand water fun park (open during summer season only);
• 4 African safari park with over 3000 animals (15 mins);
• 5 Nearby is the Pont du Gard, the Canal du Midi, the medieval walled city at Carcassonne.
• Perpignan is a 20 minute drive away where there are many shops, bars and restaurants. Narbonne which is 20 minutes in the opposite direction is also a thriving and pretty town to visit, built around the huge cathedral and along the banks of the river. Again, many boutiques and pavement bars, cafés and restaurants to try.
• And in all the small towns there are a variety of markets where local produce, antiques, crafts and wares are sold.
• The region has a long coastline of white, sandy beaches (including some naturist beaches) and picturesque fishing villages and ports including the artists colony at Collouire. Watersports including wind/kite surfing, sailing, canoeing, diving and water skiing can be found on the coast whilst activities such as canyoning, mountain biking, rock climbing, horse riding, white water rafting, hiking and golf are also available nearby. The ski resorts of the Pyrénées mountains are just a 90 minute drive away.
