The property: The property is all on one level. The lounge / diner has a comfortable sofa and chairs. The dining area has a table and chairs sufficient for six people. The two double bedrooms one with a double and the other with twin beds have fitted carpets. The separate bathroom and toilet are adjacent. The fully equipped kitchen has plenty of cupboards and worktops. We supply two sets of bed linen, bath and pool towels. Welcome pack of tea, coffee, ham and cheese, bread and butter + a bottle of wine for your arrival. The integral double garage also contains the washing machine and tumble drier. |

Outside Area: The bungalow is situated within a fenced garden with pebbled patio surround. Flowerbeds and tubs give a pleasant aspect. To the rear of the property there is a large covered terrace ideal for alfresco dining. The garden has a large fig tree offering shade as well as delicious fruit. The back garden is laid to lawn and secluded on one side by a large conifer hedge. The small above ground pool is ideal for those long hot summer days with sun beds and BBQ supplied. For the more energetic there are a couple of cycles available. |

Surrounding Area: The Dordogne is famous for its numerous lakes. It’s a fisherman’s paradise as well as those who like to swim and play about in lakes and rivers. Canoes can be hired in several locations either by the hour or for the day if required. Tennis, horse riding, golf and lovely bike rides or walks are on your door step. The town of Thiviers has four supermarkets, banks and post office, in addition to a wide variety of other shops and restaurants. The extensive market is held every Saturday morning. Thiviers has a large swimming pool in the picturesque park and close by are several lakes suitable for swimming. Limoges is famous for its fine china and the porcelain factory is well worth a visit. The airport is only 45 minutes away and is well served both by Ryan air and Flybe. Périgueuex with its old Roman quarter is a labyrinth of narrow streets with every conceivable type of shop. Brantom, Sarlat, Bordeaux and Bergerac are all within an easy drive and well worth exploring. |
