The property: This is an old farmhouse in a very peaceful, rural setting. Thick walls keep it cool in summer and oil central heating keeps it warm and cosy in the winter months. The accommodation is on the ground floor. A large attic above and cave (also on the ground floor) provide extensive storage space if needed. There are two double beds and one single, plus a fold-up bed and a sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen has all the usual appliances including microwave and dishwasher.

Outside Area: The house is surrounded by rolling fields of sunflowers, vines and hay. To the front of the property is a garden of about 1000m² including a small orchard with pear trees and a few vines. There is a garage at the front and also a covered parking space to the rear. At the rear of the property is a large barn, also belonging to us, and a field of approximately 7000m². It may be possible to arrange use of the field for grazing if required.

Surrounding Area: The area is full of châteaux and picturesque towns and villages with regular cultural events. The beautiful mediaeval town of Montreuil Bellay is close by and Saumur (a treat for horse-lovers) is about 30 minutes’ away. The nearest village with boulanger, poste, bar-tabac, etc. is a 5 minute drive. Thouars is the nearest commercial centre with large supermarket and an excellent twice weekly market. The Futuroscope and Puy de Fou theme parks are within easy driving distance. Convenient for Angers, Poitiers, Tours and Nantes airports.
