The property: Papillon is a 240m² 200 year old farmhouse that has been thoroughly modernised throughout whilst keeping the character of the original building. There are 2 entrances to the property. Front and back doors both lead into the large but cosy farmhouse kitchen/diner. The kitchen is very well equipped with appliances (full electric fan oven, gas hob with one simmer electric ring, extractor hood, dishwasher and fridge) and extensive cooking utensils. The dining room table comfortably sits 6 persons. A settee can be added to this room for the winter, if required. There is a log burning stove in the limestone fireplace. Leading off from the kitchen/dinner are the 2 twin bedrooms with fitted wardrobes and a passageway which leads to the double bedroom with fitted wardrobes, separate WC, bath with shower, heated towel rail and a washing machine and a door to the vaulted lounge. The vaulted lounge (fully insulated) is a place to chill out in, to work or watch TV (English or French). There are views of the private garden and the valley beyond. Free High Speed Internet access is available via your computer or a loan computer. The property has a new roof, loft insulation, wiring and plumbing and comes fully furnished with ample storage and seating throughout. Outside Area: There is a one acre maintained garden (and woodland) in front and behind the property. Private off road parking with easy access to the rear door leading into the kitchen/dinner. The front garden has a south facing terrace with BBQ, patio table, chairs and parasol. The large heated swimming pool (12m x 6m) is normally open between May and October. During April to June the property and surrounding area is covered in wild orchids, which is a sight to behold. There are many local walks right outside your backdoor. |
