Outside Area: The cottage is surrounded by its own private garden with lawns, shrubs, trees and is bordered by fields. You can sit and relax listening to the birds whilst sipping your glass of wine and barbecuing your meal. Also available is a large barn for storage, a carport and a separate barn with table tennis, swingball, badminton, and boule and swings in the garden. We also provide bikes, videos & dvd’s and English TV, the pool is open from May-October. A small lane outside the cottage leads to the pretty village of Voulon, a 12 minute walk along a tree lined grassy track. Voulon has a tabac/restaurant, hairdresser, infant school and library and a church. We have cut footpaths alongside the river for leisurely strolls after May-October.

Surrounding Area: La Maingotiere nestles in a fantastic location in this unspoilt region of France yet is within 30 minutes drive of Poitiers with it’s airport and TGV station. There are masses of opportunities on offer for your enjoyment in the surrounding area. Markets, walking, cycling, fishing, horse riding, canoeing, golf, architecture, cinemas etc. The small market towns of Vivonne and Couhé are 10 minutes drive away with their range of shops, restaurants, banks, doctors, dentists, vets etc. Being in the second sunniest area of France, what more can you want!

Pricing Info: Price of £695 per month is for October – March. April, May and September could be negotiated.
