The property: Les Granges are part of our Bearnaise farmhouse which we have sympathetically renovated, retaining the original beams and stonework, yet providing comfortable surroundings.

La petite grange, is ideal for a couple, having an open plan ground floor which consists of the lounge, dining room and kitchen and built-in storage cupboard. The coffee and cream interior compliments the warmth of the beams and stonework and  is repeated on the first floor providing a double bedroom and shower room/WC. The kitchen area is well equipped with fridge, microwave, electric cooker, extractor, kettle, coffee machine, blender and all the necessary crockery and cutlery and a table and chairs seating  4. The lounge area has a comfy 3 seater settee with scatter cushions and single wing chair, with coffee table between. There is a TV/DVD/CD player that has french and english TV and the storage cupboard houses the cleaning equipment, electric meter, iron and ironing board and clothes horse. From the lounge area a fairly steep staircase leads to the first floor having a double bedroom with bedside cabinets either side of the bed with lamps, dressing table with chair, mirror and hairdryer and there is a clothes hanging area and drawers. The shower room has separate shower cubicle, WC and wash hand basin. There are electric radiators throughout. It is positioned south with stunning views across to the mountains.

Outside Area: There is a private and secluded terrace with patio furniture and stone BBQ which looks across the communal gardens and pool and further to the mountains. Within your terrace are climbing Jasmines and other shrubs and access to your private parking space.

Surrounding Area: Les Granges are situated in a small farming village, close to the main town of Oloron Ste Marie having the famous Gave d'Oloron running through it. There is an abundance of shops, restaurants, banks, etc. It is about 1hr from Pau, with its own airport, Pau Pyrénées and also boasts having the oldest golf course in Europe, 1hr from Spain and 1hr30mins from Biarritz. The local ski resort of La Pierre St Martin is about 30 minutes drive which has ski de piste and ski de fond, or you can hire a pair of raquettes and enjoy tranquil walks around the snow covered pine trees. The area is also popular for cycling, walking, fishing, mountain biking, rock climbing, white water rafting and lots more!
