The property: La P'tite Boulangerie is a stone cottage built in 1865. The cottage has been superbly renovated and inside features original beams and wooden floors. The open-plan living area includes a full kitchen with gas oven, microwave/grill, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster and electric coffee filter, a dining area with table and chairs for 4 and the living area with a double sofa-bed, two rocking chairs and the woodburning stove. In the corner is the original bread oven, now a decorative feature. There is a TV (French), DVD player, CD/Radio and a fan for the summer months.
Up the wooden staircase to the first floor brings you to a little landing off which are the large double bedroom with velux window in the high ceiling and curtained hanging cupboard, chest of drawers and bedside table, and the modern shower room also with velux window.
At the end of Les Ecuries is the shared laundry room with washing machine, iron and ironing board, broom, mop, bucket and vacuum cleaner.

Outside Area: La P'tite Boulangerie shares the grassed courtyard with Les Ecuries opposite, as well as the hangar next door which houses the ping-pong table, electronic dart board and a range of card and board games. Immediately outside the cottage is a little patio with a bench. A wooden garden table and 4 chairs is provided for outdoor meals.
Behind Les Ecuries is the 10m x 5m swimming pool set in its own large grassed and fenced garden. The pool also has an electric safety cover. There is a grassed parking area and plenty of space for boules, badminton and mini croquet. Each cottage has the use of two sunloungers.

Surrounding Area: La Charronniere is situated in the midst of arable country where the crops rotate from colza to wheat to sunflowers to maize with the occasional little row of vines cultivated by a local farmer. Wildlife and wildflowers abound. Just off the RN10 between Poitiers and Angouleme, La Charronniere is ideally situated for exploration of the surrounding area.
Lezay, about 15 minutes drive away, has a large market on Tuesday mornings, and most of the towns round and about have markets during the week. There are so many things to see and do in the area during the season that you will be spoiled for choice. Out of season the larger towns have plenty of attractions - Poitiers, Angouleme, Cognac, La Rochelle, etc. Paris is just 1.5 hours away by TGV from Poitiers.
