The property: Blasi is a pretty stone Farmhouse in quiet beautiful countryside close to the Bastide town Lauzerte and within easy reach of Cahors. The well equipped and extremely comfortable self-catering accommodation comprises; a large family bedroom, a twin bedroom, a large fully equipped farmhouse kitchen/living room, a luxury walk-in shower room with twin basins, and separate WC.

Blasi Farmhouse has been renovated to provide the best mix of old and new. Whilst it is equipped to a very high standard it retains the comfortable charm of a cottage. The farmhouse has been thoughtfully furnished using a selection of modern and traditional French country furniture. The Queen sized bed in the family bedroom adds that extra bit of comfort. The bedrooms which are spacious and comfortable have ceiling fans.

Blasi Farmhouse has satellite TV, DVD player and a portable stereo system.

Outside Area: The Farmhouse has a private garden, terrace and bbq and is grounds of half an acre.

The south facing pool (shared with the barn) is 10 x 4.5 metres and has a vine and honeysuckle covered pergola providing dappled shade.

Nearby there are leisure lakes with sandy beaches At Blasi, you will be able to enjoy the night sky as it is the darkest in Western Europe. August is amazing with its shooting stars. The sky is bright with stars and the Milky Way is easily seen.

Wildlife is plentiful and interesting. Red Kites fly over the fields next to the house and over the lake. Black Kites, Hen Harriers, and Lapwings with their aerobatics are fun to watch and we have an owl who likes to visit us. Buzzards and kestrels are common, often perching on telegraph poles beside the lanes.

Closer to earth, wild boar, deer, badgers and hares are often seen nearby in the fields.

Surrounding Area: Blasi is situated in truly beautiful countryside within easy reach of the Lot and Gorges of Averyon. Lauzerte is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. The countryside is superb for walking, part of the famous pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella passes nearby. Whether you want to do a day’s walking or take a gentle stroll Blasi is perfectly situated.

The gorges of Averyon at St Antonin de Noble Val are only 40min away. Take a picnic and enjoy the gentle rapids and the long relaxing stretches of the river. Take in all the wildlife and why not go for a swim?

There is also good water sports centre at St Nicholas de la grave, with canoes, boats and pedalos for hire or why not stroll along the banks of the Tarn and Garonne Rivers and enjoy the diversity of bird and wildlife?

Lauzerte has an excellent equestrian centre and near by there is 9 hole golf course at Sauveterre, of 5244 metres in a wooded valley with water hazards and it is suitable for players of all standards.

Walibi theme park and the Vallee de Loisirs are a must. Although inland there are sandy beaches and waterslides at the nearby parc de loisir at Montcuq which also has a superb Sunday Market.

The Tarn et Garonne is justifiably proud of its farmers markets which can be found every day of the week.
