The property: The original character and features of the house have been completely retained with wooden or tiled floors, open beamed ceilings and a stunning original oak staircase. The sitting room, like the rest of the house, is cool in summer and warm in winter and has a woodburning stove, sofas and armchairs, cd and dvd player. The kitchen/diner also has a woodburning stove and is well stocked with crockery and utensils and has a large 5 gas ringed stove with electric oven. The bathroom is downstairs which is typical of houses in this area. Upstairs the huge master bedroom is double aspect with view to the pyrenees and the village church and woods. Both other double bedrooms are large and roomy, the front bedroom shares the view over the village to the Pyrénées. |

Outside Area: The rose covered loggia has a large oak table and benches and looks out on to the walled front garden with roses, lavenders and wisteria. An open barn at the end houses the table tennis - all of this area has outdoor lighting. Through a barn door and out into the large back garden is the 10 x 5m heated private pool and open barn. There is a shady grass area for children to play safely and the mature garden of flowers, fig and other fruit trees. The whole property is fenced or gated so is secure for both children and animals. |

Surrounding Area: The village of Lassales is 2 km from the school of Notre Dame de Garaison, very popular with international families. Auch is 1/2 hour away with its fantastic cathedral. Toulouse, the rose city, is around 1 hour by car or train. Pau with it's historic centre and castle is around 1 hour. Closer to home Castelnau-Magnoac, Trie sur Baise and Boulogne sur Gesse have good local shops, cafés and bars. Monleon Magnoac, just a few kilometres from the house has an annual Samba festival. Lourdes is around an hour or so away and as is the Pic de Midi - the highest point in the French Pyrénées. Spain is around 1.5 hours away. This is the place to relax, unwind and explore the beautiful region which is still totally unspoiled. Markets are within an hour of the house 7 days a week and it's also a popular area for cycling (Tour de France passes nearby), walking and skiing in winter. |
