Farmhouse and gîtes

The property: “The Lower Gîte” can accommodate 4 to 5 people and has 2 double bedrooms, wc and house bathroom/shower. A lounge with open fire adjoins the kitchen/dining area The kitchen has a gas hob with electric oven and microwave. The gîte has gas central heating and is equipped with washing machine and TV. A private terrace with BBQ overlooks the gardens and has stunning views of the Pyrénées.
N.B. The pricing above refers to the Lower Gîte.

“The Farmhouse” is normally run as a bed and breakfast .
The first floor  provides:
2 double bedrooms with their own terrace giving magnificent views of the Pyrénées; both have en-suite facilities with bath. A third double with en-suite shower.
A family apartment has two bedrooms, one double with shower, and a twin with shower The wc is shared.

“The Farmhouse as a gîte”: when not being used as a B&B the farmhouse can be rented as a self catered gîte or catered house party for 10 to 13 people. This makes use of the 5 bedrooms on the first floor and an additional 2 bedrooms on the second floor. Both rooms have shower with a shared w.c.
The large kitchen and dining room are fully equipped and there is a large open fire for those cooler evenings.

Outside Area:   Outside you can enjoy the splendour of the setting and sit in the quiet tranquillity or wander around the property which extends to some 6000m2. Here you will discover a large variety of flowers and shrubs in the main garden providing colour from spring to autumn.
In the meadow you will be surprised to see a wide range of butterflies and dragon flies hovering around the many wild flowers that grow there. The trees and hedges provide perfect nesting sites for the many species of wild birds. High in the sky, buzzards and red kites are frequent visitors. As the sun sets a barn owl can be heard and sometimes seen swooping on its prey.

Lower Gîte Lounge

Surrounding Area: Gîte de Figarol is situated just 7 km from the charming spa town of Salies du Salat. Salies is a typical French town with boulangeries, butchers, and banks; market day is Monday; it even boasts a Casino if you fancy a flutter. St. Bertrand-de Comminges, 20 minutes away is a hill top town with an imposing 12th century cathedral and is the venue for an annual summer music festival. Another 30 minutes up the road takes you to the “chic” ski resort of Luchon twinned with Harrogate in North Yorkshire.
Lourdes is 50 minutes away and another 10 minutes takes you to Pau with the magnificent 14th century chateaux and birthplace of Henry lV. Try some of the local sweet wine of Juroncon.
The city of Toulouse is only 45 minutes away and is Frances 6th largest city. Famous for its aerospace industry; Concorde, Airbus and the Ariane space rocket started life here. Worth a visit for its regional cuisine , lively street life and “rose brick” old town.
