The property:  Les Monts is a lovely old restored farmhouse dating from about 1750. The solid stone walls keep it warm in winter and cool in summer. It is in a very quiet location in a small hamlet away from the main road. The house and garden overlooks the beautiful countryside of the Vienne valley.

The ground floor, which is on two levels has tiled floors, white stone walls and exposed beams. It has a spacious lounge, dining room and very large kitchen - with large pine table and chairs. The dining room has a wood burning stove and tends to be used more as a snug than dining room.

The first floor is also on two levels. The spacious bedrooms have fitted carpets, plastered and stone walls and exposed beams. Bathroom has shower/bath, washbasin, bidet and wc.

Outside Area: There is a small garden with lawn, shrubs and trees and an enclosed terrace area with barbecue and patio table/chairs. The garden backs onto woods and fields overlooking the Vienne valley. A very large barn is attached to the house, which is handy for storage.

Surrounding Area: The village of Manot is 2km - bakery. The lovely old medieval town of Confolens is 10km down the valley. Here you will find shops, bars, restuarants and supermarkets. Lacs de Haute Charente, about 15km for beaches. The River Vienne is just 2km and is great for fishing and relaxing - plenty of further information if needed.
