Description of Property:   Le Palmier is a fully furnished 4 bedroom stone-built former farmhouse. The property is all on one level (although there are 3 steps leading down to the kitchen from the sitting room) & makes the perfect villa for those that want families and family to visit, due to the centrally located living area. Two of the bedrooms, one with an en-suite Jacuzzi bathroom and an en-suite shower room are on one side & 2 bedrooms & family bathroom the other - so lots of privacy & space.

The Sitting Room and Kitchen.
You will be delighted with the projector TV home cinema which is displayed on an impressive motorised screen with the full UK packages including sports, movies and of course the children's channels available! A Wii console with interactive family games (great on the big screen...!), Hi-fi CD player, 24hr Wi-Fi access & an iPod docking station.

Relax on one of the large leather sofas and enjoy the 'home cinema' experience, excellent for watching either sports, or a good old fashion film. Or simply relax with a glass of wine and a good book (a huge library of excellent English books including fiction, romance novels, biography & thrillers all supplied!). If you prefer, plug in your iPod and listen to your favourite artist whilst enjoying some easy reading laying in the sun. The excellent variety of magazines will keep you entertained with favourites like Homes & Gardens, Country living, 25 Beautiful Homes, Marie Claire plus Hello, Ok and Heat to name but a few.

The kitchen is very well-equipped including a large 5 burner range cooker (great for when cooking for large numbers when family and friends visit), a farmhouse table with 8 chairs, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer and ironing facilities.

Four Bedrooms.
Le Palmier has 4 bedrooms each with a free-standing air-conditioning unit and comprises of 2 master bedrooms, 1 triple bedroom & 1 bunk bedroom.

The main master bedroom (35m2) has a 4 poster wrought-iron king-size bed with an en-suite Jacuzzi bathroom. The second master also has a 4 poster king-size white wooden bed and a door leading out to the gardens and pool area. Each master bed has a mattress topper for maximum comfort.

The triple bedroom has three single beds and is able to convert to a good size double if required for more than 4 adults sharing. It is stacked with toys, train tracks, books, games and videos so when you have the kids or grandchildren to stay they have lots to keep them entertained. The forth bedroom has bunk beds.

Le Palmiers outdoor eating area is accessible from the double patio doors in the kitchen. Here you will enjoy the 4m x 5m gazebo, which creates a welcome shade during the winter months or a floodlit area for evening dining. You can all eat together on the terrace at the picnic style table and benches, or the adults can relax eating dinner whilst next to them, the kids or visiting grand children can enjoy the 'kiddies size' table and chairs for their own memorable meal times.

Partially laid to lawn, the garden is surrounded by mature plants, trees, shrubs and flowers - there is garden furniture with extra chairs for a lazy afternoons reading under the olive tree. A chimney-style barbecue has been provided to ensure that you can cook outside in style, along with plenty of fresh mint for your evening Pimms on the terrace at 5 O'clock!

Surrounding Area:  Le Palmier is under a minutes' walk from the lovely village of Angles which has a street market on the first Wednesday of each month - an excellent opportunity to sample much of the locally produced food, including cheese, meat, fish and wine.

Located so close to the village of Angles, you can either take a leisurely stroll in the morning to pick up your fresh baguette and croissants with the kids or in the evenings visit a choice of great restaurants. You will also find a comprehensive folder in the gîte listing restaurants, activities and local events, as well as plenty of ideas for entertaining the children. There is an excellent write up of over 20 local restaurants that we recommend and if you want some 'adult time' we also supply the baby-sitting too!

Angles has its own Office de Tourisme, as well as a post office, two banks, a hairdresser, a beauty salon, an aromatherapist, a pharmacy, five cafés/bars and four restaurants. There are also two supermarkets, two butchers, a fishmonger and a fruit & vegetable shop.

The large fishing port of l'Aiguillon is just 10 minutes away. Early risers can choose from a range of freshly-caught fish, mussels, oysters, langoustine and gambas at the town's fish market which is open every weekday at 5am. Those who prefer a lie-in can sample the seafood later in the day at one of the many wonderful fish restaurants in the town.

Whether you're an experienced cyclist or a leisure rider, this area has plenty of surprises in store for you. all along the 'Loire a Velo' signposted bike trial, you can marvel at the stunning Loire countryside, visit châteaux’s & Abbeys, stroll through quaint little towns & cycle through vineyards for over 110 miles!
