Keeping in style with our other properties, we have kept two large oak beams, a mix of stone-and chalked walks, as well as traditionally handmade oak doors. The outside boasts a garden and a wonderful terrace 20 m above the river gorge, perfect for sunset aperitifs while looking at the old ducal castle, now a Benedictines monastery.
The whole village now has fibre optic, making our cottages perfect for Working from Home with high-speed internet access, which many of our guests have done over the years.

Recently restored country house in the historic Bourbonnais region of the beautiful Auvergne. Peaceful and steeped in nature but minutes from the well-equipped village of Bellenaves, with a weekly market, two bakeries, a butchers and small supermarket. Around 40 minutes from Vichy and 50 mins from Clermont Ferrand (with airport) and the lovely Chaine des Puys range. The house sleeps up to six, has spacious living areas, a work area complete with comfortable desk and office chair, a well-equipped kitchen and bathrooms with one large shower, one bath and over-bath shower. A gravel/grass terrace at the front gives superb views over a typically Auvergnian landscape and a spacious garden at the back provides somewhere to relax and sunbathe.
