Yonne
Delightful Canal/Riverside Chalet in Rural Setting
Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Yonne, 9kms from Clamecy.
Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Yonne, 9kms from Clamecy.
Lucy sur Yonne is a tranquil pretty village in northern Burgundy, with the Canal du Nivernais and the River Yonne meandering through just to the rear of the chalet's garden. It has been our holiday home for over 30 years but as we bought the cottage next door we have altered it for rental use.
Lucy is about 2.5 hours from Paris by car and 2.3 hours by train which can be caught at nearby stations or at the terminus in Clamecy. Auxerre is 40 minutes by car and 45 minutes by train where there is a large selection of shops to visit and old buildings to explore. There are many excellent restaurants in the area to experience gastronomic Burgundy including a 3* Michelin near historic Vezelay. Chablis has the most prestigious vineyards in the area along with Irancy, St Bris and Coulanges la Vin
