Description of Property:
Le Fer à Cheval (the horseshoe) has been converted from an old stable building. Furnished with a mix of vintage and modern - many pieces foraged from local antiques markets and brocantes.
The house is fully heated for wintry nights at home.
The living room has TV, DVD player and hi-fi, with an iPod lead. There is a bookcase with lots of holiday reading, as well as local guide books and a French dictionary, and a shelf of DVDs.
There are two bedrooms:
One: queen-sized bed, en-suite bathroom - with large walk-in shower, WC, washbasin - dressing corner and old velvet armchair, hairdryer, on the lower floor.
Two: with queen-sized bed or twin beds, bathroom next door with large walk-in shower, washbasin, toilet and heated towel rail, hairdryer - on the upper floor.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need, including cookery books in French and English (the owner is a chef). There is a stainless steel cooker with gas hob and electric fan oven, and a dishwasher, washing machine and a microwave.
The spacious dining room has a large old oak table, framed local maps on the wall and a bookcase.
Broadband wifi is provided free of charge.
All linen and towels are included, as well as gas, electricity, water and heating.

Outside Amenities: There is a pretty south-facing terrace 15m², planted with herbs and lavender. There are loungers and a wooden outdoor table and chairs.
There is also a gas-fired Weber barbecue.
Surrounding Area: Sablet is situated in a perfect location for exploring Provence. The village itself has two bakeries, a butcher, épicerie (with amazing fruit and veg), a café/bar, three restaurants, a chemist, bank with cashpoint, a library, doctor, dentist and physiotherapist. There is a small market on Fridays, and a fish stall and a goats cheese stall visit the village on Thursdays.
The surrounding countryside is wonderful for walking, rock-climbing, cycling (mountain and road) and there are paths leading straight from the village.
The closest town is delightful Vaison-la-Romaine (10 minutes' drive), with its fantastic Tuesday market, medieval cathedral, Roman remains, medieval castle and bustling centre, including supermarkets, an art-house cinema and frequent cultural events.
Avignon is 35 minutes away, and within an hour or so you can visit Nîmes, Arles, Aix-en-Provence, Marseille or the Camargue. The closest airports are Nîmes (55 minutes) or Marseille (1 hr 05 minutes). Avignon TGV station is 45 minutes, Orange SNCF station is 20 minutes away.
Three and a half hours drive will take you to the Italian or the Spanish border if you want to travel further afield.
