Accessed at ground floor level there is a lounge, kitchen/diner, 1 shower room, 1 family bathroom, 2 double bedrooms one of which is ensuite. Each of these bedrooms has a double bed and fitted wardrobes. There is access to the balcony from the kitchen and one of the double bedrooms. First floor: 1 bedroom with two single beds, wardrobe and chest of drawers.
The family bathroom and ensuite have a toilet, wash hand basin, bath with over bath-shower. The shower room has a toilet, wash hand basin and separate shower cubicle. The large lounge has books (in English, some in French) travel guides, board games and DVD player. The large kitchen/diner has table and chairs to seat 6 to 8, gas 5-ringed hob and electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, radio, hand blender, hand mixer and large fridge with freezer compartment, crockery etc. An iron and ironing board is supplied. There is a washing machine in the basement and an outside clothes-line.
Outside Amenities: The property has a secure garden and paved area where there is a BBQ. Garden furniture is supplied. There is a parking space for one car in the grounds of the property.
Surrounding Area: Activities available in the area - swimming and fishing at Quillan's lake a 5 minute drive from the house where as well as the lakes there is a children's park, BBQ and picnic areas, showers, exercise equipment, walks, volleyball and petanque court.
In Quillan there is also a public outdoor swimming pool which opens during the summer months. Other activities in the area include horse riding, fishing, biking, quading, water rafting, canoeing to name but a few. As well as stunning scenery the immediate area has plenty of Cathar chateaux. The coast and ski slopes are both easily accessible so it is a perfect year-round destination.
Quillan has two markets per week and an extra evening market in summer. Festivals and street parties take place in summer. All year round there is a cinema, theatre and plenty of places to dine to suit all budgets.
A bus service for €1 connects Carcassonne or Perpignan to Quillan! Carcassonne airport is under I hour drive. The area is served by Carcassonne, Perpignan and Toulouse airports. Taxis are available in the town. Cars can be hired at the airports and in Limoux.
