Description of Property:   Our guest house which is available to rent and described here, is a perfect 'home away from home' for your Sabbatical in Provence. It forms part of the main property but is completely private, immaculately presented and decorated to a high standard with hotel quality beds, linens and towels and quality fixtures and fittings throughout.

Our prices include bed linen, bath towels, pool towels, free wifi, well water and a daily pool service. For added comfort we re-decorate for winter, adding heavy curtains, wool rugs, cushions and throws in the lounge and feather duvets and extra blankets in the bedrooms.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need, for even the most enthusiastic of home cooks, a dining table seats 6, plus 2 more at the island. Off the kitchen is a dining terrace for breakfast in the morning sun.

The lounge is lovely and cosy, with a wood burning fire (free firewood), 2 comfortable sofas, a reading chair, Sony TV, Apple TV, Netflix, an internet radio and a selection of books, movies and concerts to entertain.

Your private outdoor space consists of two terraces, one off the kitchen and the larger off the lounge which is partially covered with an outdoor lounge, two sun loungers, a dining table and BBQ where you can enjoy relaxing in the afternoon sun well into October and November.

Our private pool is heated in October and April, but closed from November-March. There are lots of walks to enjoy directly from our gate and many more further afield. Throughout the autumn and winter there are a number of activities, concerts yoga and fitness classes, a great cinema program and sights to enjoy in the area.

Outside Amenities:  Our property sits on 3 acres of private grounds, a mix of garden and woodland, on a quiet country lane with little traffic, its so peaceful hear, you can hear the leaves falling off the trees!

Our house is on a small country road just 800m from the village. The road climbs gently to our elevated site where you can enjoy wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.

Surrounding Area:  In 1997 Correns was nominated the "1st Organic Village in France" and our farmers proudly produce organically grown wine, goats cheese, eggs, chickens, honey, olive oil, truffle and a variety of vegetables. The village has a boulangerie, bio food store, convenience store, tabac, post office, bio hairdresser, tourist office, a Catholic Church, an Auberge, a restaurant, a bar/cafe and a great outdoor family restaurant and markets during the summer season.

Correns is outdoor adventure playground for adults and children alike with many leisure activities for you to enjoy on our doorstep : cycling; mountain biking; hiking; rock climbing at the famous Vallon Sourn; tennis; fishing; kayaking; horse riding; bathing and a children's playground all in our village.

Around the Village

We are surrounded by a number of lively tourist villages : Cotignac with its magnificent backdrop and Carces with its beautiful lake. Other villages to explore include the historic Salernes, the Grottes at Villecroze, beautiful TourTour 'village in the sky' the fabulous Basilica at St Maximin and bustling Lorgues.

From Correns, you are ideally positioned to explore this lovely region - we are midway between Côte d'Azur and the wonderful Gorges du Verdon, the lively city of Aix-en-Provence and edgy Marseille all are within 50 minutes drive and make for a perfect day trip.

Our long term winter rate quoted is for a minimum of one calendar month (or part thereof). We are open for monthly rentals for October to December and again from March to April/May, depending on availability, please contact me with your preferred dates and we'll do what we can to accommodate you. Please note we close for the months of January and February. Please enquire in any case and we will do what we can to facilitate you or divert you to another property that might be suitable.
