The garden is approximately 100m squared, with mature shrubbery and trees providing privacy. The patio extends across the back of the house, with an awning to provide shade, if required. There is a gas BBQ and a traditional coal BBQ. Garden furniture includes a table and chairs for 4 and 2 sunbeds, as well as plenty of garden toys. A real feature of the garden is the 8 person hot tub – perfect for summer evenings and winter nights alike.
Surrounding Area: Bourg d’Oisans hosts all of the amenities which you would expect of a town. From restaurants, bars and cafes, to a tourist office, bakeries, butchers and clothes shops. Every Saturday there is a large, bustling Farmer’s market selling everything you may require. There is also a large supermarket with petrol station, just on the outskirts of town. A short walk from the house there is a children’s park and pond to feed the ducks, as well as a large, popular swimming pool/lido with children’s pool. Other activities nearby include skiing, cycling, swimming (indoor and outdoor), canoeing, kayaking, rafting, walking, glacier walking, golf, flying, paragliding, lake swimming, high ropes course, ice skating, fishing,- as well as museums and places of historical and cultural interest to visit. Alp d’huez, a 20 minute drive, is referred to L'ile au Soleil” (Island of sun) with 300 sunny days a year. Les Deux Alps is a 30 minute drive, offering a huge wealth and variety of ski runs, both winter and summer. Commuting to Grenoble (45 minutes) and Lyon (1 hour 15) are realistic possibilities.
