Beyond the garden wall and lawn there is a further terraced area set around a cherry tree for shade. Stone and wooden steps lead from terrace to terrace to a lookout area and down to the river below.
Surrounding Area: The village has two boulangeries, two grocery stores, a butcher, post office, bank, pharmacy, doctor, dentist, tavern, restaurant, hairdresser and optometrist. There are many excellent bars and restaurants in the area that offer great value, fixed price, country lunches.
Markets and supermarkets are a fifteen minute drive. There are many beautiful and safe walks along the backroads to the many historic towns and villages in the area. Tennis, basketball courts, mini golf and the local petanque pitch are close to the house. There is a camping, swimming and fishing reserve at Monestier, a 5 minute drive. The new Aquatic centre at Vichy is worth a visit. The Super Besse ski fields are a 90 minute drive. The Benedictine Abbey of St vincent is a ten minute walk with daily mass.
