1st floor of a traditional Niҫois building with lift. The lift can fit two people, however we do not think it will fit most unfolded pushchairs and wheelchairs. There are 26 steps up to the apartment. Please note that there is a step between each of the rooms in this apartment.
The open plan living area is light and airy thanks to a floor-to-ceiling window at one end of the room. There is attractive wooden flooring throughout, and the red and black colour scheme adds real warmth.
The sofa and armchair will provide a welcome place to relax after days spent out and about in Nice, and for entertainment there is a 32” LCD screen as well as a DVD player. The dining table, with its high-back chairs, offers plenty of space for four to dine in.
The kitchen, with its light wood units and granite worktop, is fantastically well-equipped. It comprises a four-ring ceramic hob, oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, and comes with all the utensils guests could need to cook with the tasty local produce.
The bedrooms are delightfully quiet as they are at the back of the property. Similar in size, one bedroom is equipped with a king size bed and the other a double bed. The king size bedroom has bedside tables with reading lamps, and both bedrooms have cupboards for storing all your belongings. They also feature more of the apartment’s tasteful wooden flooring.
We are afraid you will struggle to put a baby cot in the bedroom, although the living room has ample room.
The bathroom is fully-tiled and comes complete with a large walk-in shower, wash basin with mirror, heated towel rail.
There is a separate WC beside the bedrooms.
Surrounding Area: Rue Russie is just behind the cinema on Avenue Jean Médecin. There is a very large supermarket and plenty of shops and restaurants within a few minutes' walk. A bakery is less than a minute away, as is the tram.
The train station and Old Town can be reached in under five minutes on the tram or in 10 minutes on foot. An easy stroll of 15 minutes will also get you to the beach and Promenade. This really is a great apartment as a base to explore the Côte d’Azur using the excellent public transport network.
