Description of Property:   Each cottage has two good sized bedrooms that sleep four. These beautiful homes have been recently refurbished and are very comfortable, and suitable as year round accommodation. Both have the most spectacular views and are secluded and private with own entrances and parking. They have their own gardens and outside furniture, barbecues and log stores.
For the warmer months there is also a large shared main garden for guests use with jacuzzi/hot-tub and more garden furniture. The cottages are completely seperate and private from each other set each end of a large barn. The sous sol under the barn forms the owners accommodation.

Honeysuckle House has more than 65 sqm of living space over 2 floors. It has traditional style french windows with secondary glazing, wood block floors and beamed ceilings. It has a separate, cosy, carpeted lounge with modern wood-burner and a spacious kitchen/diner. The kitchen is well equipped with modern gas cooker, full size dishwasher, microwave, large fridge/freezer, washing machine & dryer.
The downstairs bathroom has a modern shower, sink & toilet, electric heated towel rail and storage cupboards. All rooms also have ceramic wall heaters.
Upstairs there are two spacious bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king-size four poster bed and this double aspect room looks out onto the most fantastic scenes of the countryside.
The second bedroom has twin beds and fitted wardrobes & shelving. A lovely peaceful room that looks out at the woods where quite often you will see deer, pine martins and squirrels passing through the trees.

Violets Cottage has more than 60 sqm of living space over 2 floors. It has a modern feel with a spacious open plan lounge/diner/kitchen looking out through large patio doors to the countryside. A newly installed efficient wood-burner and double glazing keep you cosy and warm during the cooler months. There are also wall heaters in all rooms. The well equipped kitchen has a ceramic hob electric cooker, full size dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer.
The rustic walls and wooden floors with beams above give the cottage charm and character in abundance.
Up the spiral staircase are the bathroom with modern shower, sink, toilet & heated towel rail and the two bedrooms - one with double bed and valley views the other with twin beds and fitted wardrobe and woodland views.
The large entrance-way is where you will find a a comfy chair with coffee table. If you need to work online the coffee table can be swapped for a chair, desk & desk lamp.
Here you will also find a coat & shoe rack and the utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Outside there is a shady awning that extends over the patio area, so that you can sit out and enjoy a meal or a glass of wine.

Outside Amenities:  Both cottages have private garden areas with garden furniture and barbecue. If you are bringing your dog you may want to consider that Violets garden has a gate onto the drive and fencing all round (approx. 1 metre height). Honeysuckles garden is smaller and not securely fenced.
Honeysuckle House has a log store in the garden conveniently close to the house.
Violets Cottage has a storage room accessed from the garden where the garden furniture and barbecue are kept along with logs for the wood burner. Also plenty of room for bicycles if you bring them with you.
Huge dry storage barn. If you do decide to move to France and need furniture storage etc. a monthly rental cost can be negotiated according to the space you need. Up to 60 m² available. 5€ per sqm pm.

Surrounding Area:  Woodland walks, cycling and horse riding trails. Amazing views of the countryside.
1 km to the river beach.
1 km to the village of Saint Julien Le Petit.

The cost pcm includes local Taxe de Sejour, Wifi & water charges. It also includes some basic cleaning materials, toilet roll, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs etc. Electricity is metered and charged at cost monthly. We provide mattress covers, 2 pillows per person & duvets. For long term lets please bring your own bed linen, towels, bath mat and T-towels.
