Description of Property: The property is accessed via a long private driveway with automatic gates and is quietly situated on a hillside at the edge of the village. Outside Amenities: At the front of the property is a covered terrace with seating and a BBQ overlooking the mature garden, pool and poolhouse (with bar counter, sink, fridge and shower). The paved pool area is surrounded by garden borders and a high hedge for complete privacy. The pool gets full sun all day and plenty of lounger chairs are provided for sun worshippers. To the rear of the property is plenty of secure, off-street parking space.
Surrounding Area: The traditional winemaker's village of Campagnan is at the heart of the Herault valley. There is no commerce in the village itself (apart from an exceptionally good "guinguette" pop-up restaurant which opens during the summer months), but several fresh-produce markets, supermarkets, banks, restaurants, etc. are only a short drive away. To the south is historic Pézenas (13.5km), and Clermont l'Herault with its bustling Wednesday market, is just a kilometre or so further to the north. Just beyond Clermont is Lake Salagou, which offers beautiful hiking and cycling trails and a full range of watersports. The wide sandy beaches of Marseillan and Agde and the lovely coastal towns of Mèze and Sete are all within half an hour's drive. Montpellier is less than an hour away, as are the stunning Gorges d'Herault and St Guilhem-le-Désert, one of "Les plus beaux villages de France". The nearest international airports are Beziers/Cap d'Agde (43km) and Montpellier (53km) and the area is well serviced by trains stopping at Montpellier, Sete, Agde and Béziers. Within 10km of the villa is an excellent medical centre with English-speaking doctors.
