Villa Olea offers the perfect pied à terre for a family holiday. Its name “Olea” is a tribute to the beautiful olive tree that provides gentle shade nearby the pool area when needed.
Set on two levels, this holiday rental villa is spacious and welcoming. It offers a great choice for large families or groups of friends. Both interior and exterior ascribe to the typically French Provençale style, making for a charming family home.
A steep driveway leads to a parking area in front of the villa – with space for up to 4 cars. N.B. the roads leading to the villa are quite narrow therefore we do not recommend renting a large car.
The entry way is set on the ground floor where 3 out of the 5 bedrooms are located, as well as the kitchen and living room. A staircase brings you up to the 1st floor, where the master bedroom, large dressing room and children’s bedroom are.
The pool area and garden is located one level below the villa. Access to the garden and pool area is gated so that little ones cannot wander there alone.
The white wooden beams and stone fireplace have been carefully preserved to infuse the open plan living room with charm. Large arched windows open onto the luscious green views.
In the corner, three large comfortable sofas surround a flat screen TV making for a cosy space to relax. The TV is equipped with an IPTV system – offering plenty of content (movies, sports, English channels) – for rainy days. Curl up on the sofa to enjoy a good movie or take advantage of the WIFI. A staircase (with child gates at both ends) leads to the first floor.
Adjourned to the lounging area is a dining space with a large table that can seat up to 10 guests. Arched wooden windows open up to the terrace with an outdoor dining space for up to 10 guests as well. A BBQ stands in the corner, ready for al-fresco dining evenings, with the most beautiful panoramic view of the pool and hills. Just add chilled rosé wine and you are set to enjoy many wonderful evenings – the South of France way.
The kitchen is double – with a cooking area and separate laundry/pantry area. It is perfectly equipped for the slightest need. The cooking area offers surface space, as well as an oven, hob, dishwasher and plenty of storage space. Our favourite feature has to be the windows overlooking the sink so that you can admire the fantastic view whilst doing the dishes.
The second “space” includes some more storage space, a microwave, a large fridge and freezer, and both a washing machine and separate dryer.
The villa has five comfortable bedrooms, all with AC.
The two bedrooms downstairs on the right-hand side of the house enjoy a similar set-up – two large 180cm Super King size beds that can separated into single beds if preferred. They both have closets as well as bed side tables with reading lamps. The third bedroom also enjoys a large Super King size bed (180cm) but that cannot be split.
Upstairs, you may find the children’s bedroom and the Master bedroom. The children’s bedroom can accommodate 3 children (1 single bed and 1 set of bunk beds). This bedroom has on en-suite shower room with toilet.
The Master bedroom is a few steps away, separated by a large dressing room with walk-in closet. The Master bedroom itself is spacious yet simple. A comfortable Super King size bed (180cm) awaits, in a beautiful room with a skylight window. This bed can also be split into two singles (2 x 90cm). There is plenty of room for a crib if travelling with a young one.
BATHROOMS & WC
This villa offers a total of three bathrooms. There is also a separate WC downstairs.
The first bathroom downstairs has a bath tub with rain-head shower, and a sink. The second bathroom is the en suite shower room to the children’s bedroom. It feature a sink, mirror and toilet. The last bathroom is located en suite to the Master bedroom’s dressing room. It enjoys a modern ceramic bathtub and a large-walk-in shower, as well as a sink and toilet.
All bathrooms are tastefully decorated with Provençale style tiles.

-- All of our holiday rental properties have a hairdryer, iron & ironing board, toiletries (including hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion) and basic start up pack including toilet paper, bin bags, dishtowels, sponge, organic wine, etc.
-- Beach towels are available in the holiday rental property, but must be left clean, ready for the next guest. Otherwise, a supplement of 15€ per beach towel will be charged via credit card upon departure.
Outside Amenities: The garden/pool area can be accessed from the large doors in the living room, or from a little pathway (including stairs) from the parking areas on the ground level. This space is separated by a safety gate from the pool area – so ideal & easy for families with small kids.
Surrounded by flowering shrubs, olive trees and even a palm tree, the green lawn provides a welcoming sun-lounging space. South-west facing, it promises plenty of sunshine during the day.
A large pool awaits, with a step running along the side of it, for easy access. Panoramic views can be enjoyed whilst swimming – it doesn’t get much better than that!
Guests have a multitude of options when it comes to where they want to soak in the sunshine. Pick one of the four sun loungers, kick back in a deck chair or sit back in one of the comfortable couches in the outdoor salon. Find shelter and shade if needed, under the arches – or beneath the olive tree. There is a large wooden dining table there too – so that you can enjoy lunch by the pool, or a post-swim aperitif as the sun goes down... We recommend both!
The pool has an alarm - safety system that can activated for when not in use.
The most active of our guests will delight in the available gym equipment including a weight bench and a Ping Pong table.
Whether you would like to spend an afternoon lounging beside the pool, play a friendly game of table tennis or host a lavish dinner party, this property is the ideal Provençal getaway.
Surrounding Area: Neighbourhood
Le Tignet is a small village in the hills of about 3000 inhabitants behind Grasse. It lies along the Siagne river, which separates the village from the department of the Var. Only 10 km away from the famous perfume city, it lies pretty surrounded by olive trees and green valleys. The unobtrusive old village, clustered around the old Saint-Hilaire church, overlooks a majestic landscape spreading from Saint Cassien Lake westward to Grasse and southward to the Lérins Islands in the sea just beyond Cannes.
There are very few commerces in the village of Le Tignet itself however local shopping is available just over 1km away. A pharmacy, bakery, a couple of bars and restaurants and large supermarket (Carrefour Market) are all within a couple of minutes' drive.
You will find lots of lovely small towns such as Fayence, Cabris and Saint-Cezaire in the surrounding area, each with their own charming little bistrots and restaurants. The best way to get around in the area is to hire a car which you can do at Nice airport, located circa 50 minutes from the villa.
Discover the hinterland! - hiking is a very popular activity in the area, with many trails circling around the village, and branching out to the Tanneron in the South, St Vallier in the North, and the Gorges de la Siagne and St Cézaire to the West. The Lac de St Cassien with its beaches, restaurants and water sport activities is also just a short drive away.
Le Tignet is within easy drive of all the major French Riviera cities: 44km away from Nice, 25km away from Cannes and 10km from Grasse. Enjoy being so close to the legendary Côte d’Azur, with its warm sun and blue skies, beaches and colourful events. Yet, at the same time, enjoy the tranquil charm of Provence in this sanctuary on the hills of Grasse.
