Description of Property:
Entrance is through the main door which leads directly to the stairs to the flat.
Accomodation is all on one level and comprises living room with kitchenette and dining area; two double bedrooms, one with sitting area; shower room and separate WC.
Kitchen is basic but has a two-ring electric hob and small electric oven.
There is no washing machine but there is a launderette in the village. For an additional fee, some laundry could be done by the owner.
For winter lets, there will be an additional charge for heating.
I have cats and a dog so if anyone in your party has allergies, you need to be aware of this.
Outside Amenities: There is no outside space attached to the flat but there is a possibility of access to the garden through prior arrangement, access to which is through the main house.
Self-contained, 1st-Floor ApartmentSurrounding Area: Monflanquin is a beautiful bastide town with bars and restaurants around the medieval square. Within walking distance are butchers, bakers, small general store, banks, tobacconist/newsagents etc. The Post Office and pharmacy are about 1km away just outside the village.
There is a Casino supermarket a short drive away and an Intermarché in Villeréal. In Montayral (20km) there is a large Leclerc as well as LIDL. In Villeneuve-sur-Lot (18km) there are also several large supermarkets.
There is a weekly market on Thursday morning and, in the summer months, a Sunday morning market as well as the farmer's market on Thursday evenings.
A couple of kilometres away are a pretty lake and a municipal swimming pool. The rivers of the Lot, Dordogne and the Garonne are all nearby as well as several plans d'eau (leisure lakes). Also in the area are beautiful châteaux to visit - Bonaguil, Biron and Lauzun are all within half an hour.
There are many beautiful bastide towns to visit in the area - Villeréal, Castillonés, Eymet, Issigeac, Monpazier, Beaumont de Perigord to mention just a few. Most have weekly markets and farmer's markets or night markets in the summer.
Being in the North-East of the Lot-et-Garonne, we are within easy reach of the departments of the Dordogne, the Lot and the Gironde so ideally placed for house-hunting in these areas.
