Description of Property:   Stunning first floor apartment with all amenities, 2 bedrooms, bathroom with shower and second toilet. The bedrooms and lounge open onto a balcony leading to the decked garden. It has a new fully equipped kitchen with cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. The lounge/diner has comfortable settees and a satellite TV, UK and French stations.
There is a large dining table seating 8 people, and plenty of storage. Light floods into the house from the French windows in every room, the walls of which are mostly painted white. The flooring is wood and marble, with some composites, and the apartment is centrally heated. The layout of the bedrooms is a double and a twin but we can put a double instead of the twins if that is required. In addition an extra single could be added if necessary.

Outside Amenities:  Outside there is a large garden with 2 small vegetable plots and an area in the front for football kick around. The garden is gated and fenced and therefore perfectly safe for children and dogs. There is a large decked area for eating out when the weather is good and lots of country walks just outside the gate.

Surrounding Area:  St Romain has a small shop within a 5 minute walk, while Aubeterre-sur-Dronne, also within walking distance, is a beautiful historic village with shops, restaurants, bars, and an 11c underground church to explore. It has a small market on Sundays and a river swimming beach with a cafe/restaurant.
Chalais is 10 minutes away by car with a large market every Monday and supermarkets open every day. There you will also find the train connection to Angouleme or Bordeaux, perfect for a day trip.
Riberac, another market town is 15 minutes drive away with a superb market on Friday mornings and Bergerac is an hour, 20 minutes by car.
The house is set in rolling countryside with lots of attractive villages and towns to visit, and is ideal for those house hunting or on an extended holiday.
