Description of Property:
The Gite is 1 bedroom and is open plan and refurbished to a high standard. It has its own terrace ideal for dining and BBQ which stretches out onto the main gardens of the house.
Upon entering the Gite the kitchen and the dining area are accessible. Kitchen is fully equipped and also has a dishwasher, washing machine, induction hob, microwave, toaster, oven and fridge freezer.
Access to the lounge, bathroom and bedroom are via the stairs in the kitchen. Please note this is a loft style Gite and therefore the stairs are quite steep and care is needed when using them.
When arriving on the first floor there is a desk converted from an old Singer sewing machine, main lounge area with TV & Satellite (UK free view channels), sofa and king size bed. There is also a double wardrobe which is a good size with hanging and shelving space.
The bathroom has toilet, sink and a good quality shower with overhead showering option as well. There is also a large velux window providing ventilation but also lots of natural lighting making the first floor a really enjoyable space to stay. Equipped with electric radiators and thick stone walls it is warm during winter months but also cool during the summer by equal measure.
Outside Amenities: Large garden from which the Gite leads on to. At end of the garden there are 50km of trails around farmland through various villages.
Shared access to the heated swimming pool (June-Sept).
Surrounding Area: 1km from the local village of Sorges which is famous for its truffles (best in the Dordogne). It is a quiet countryside setting and the house is surrounded by fields and only one neighboring house which is owned by a retired French couple. The property is very close to local amenities as the towns of Thiviers and Perigieux are less than a 15 minute drive away. The property is close to the D8 road which is not busy but there is some road noise although from the garden and the gite it is barely noticeable.
