Surrounding Area:  The chateau is situated in Les Forges, a quiet French mini village with its own church, Culture Centre, Marie and excellent local shop providing local produce and essentials including bread, wine, fresh vegetables, milk and eggs. Les Forges attracts golfers both locally and internationally with its beautiful 27 hole dual course set amongst nature. Facilities include a driving range, putting greens, tennis, swimming, golf shop and a restaurant with an outdoor terrace overlooking the course. Vasles is 3 km distant, has a spa - mini supermatket, a Tuesday market in the square, doctors, dentist, bistro, bank, fashion shop, hair dressers, pharmacy and more. Menigoute, another charming village is 5 kms away with similar facilities. Superstores of L'Eclerc, Lidl, Super U, and Aldi at St Maixent l'Ecolle and Parthenay both approx a 20 minute drive - approx 24 kms away along country roads.
