Description of Property:   The Accommodation contains the following

The lounge has patio doors that open onto the terrace and garden. It is furnished with sofas and chairs, a dining table and a TV with UK TV channels, plus Amazon firestick with Netflix and Amazon Prime. There is a DVD Player and an assortment of DVDs as well as a bookshelf full of books to read

The kitchen/Diner consists of a table and chairs and a wood burner for the winter months. The kitchen is equipped with a washing machine, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, gas cooker with a gas hob and microwave.

The bedrooms are full of charm and character, with stone walls and the original oak beams still in place. One of the bedrooms is situated on the ground floor and consists of a double bed, lots of wardrobe space, a large chest of drawers, an electric radiator for the cooler months and a window which overlooks the garden. The second bedroom is upstairs, this is a large family bedroom witch contains a double bed and two single beds, a wardrobe and chest of drawers and bedside tables. there is an electric radiator for the cooler months

downstairs next to the bedroom there is a shower room with shower, small hand basin and WC. There is also a family bathroom on the first floor which consists of a bath (with hand held shower attachment), hand basin and WC.


For Children a cot, high chair and stair gates are available and the garden is walled and fenced on all sides so children can play safely.

The owners of this cottage live in the main house on site which has its own private garden and entrance

Well-behaved dogs are welcome, there are plenty of open spaces nearby and of course the Mervent Forest is an ideal place to walk dogs

Gîte du Lys is from October to March
there will be additional charges for electric which will be charged at the end of your stay, wood for the wood stove can be provided at a reasonable price

Outside Amenities:  The Cottage has its own private garden with a boules court and badminton net. The garden furniture consists of a picnic table and benches, a gas BBQ, table and chairs a parasol and sun loungers. there is also parking at the font of the cottage for two cars.

Surrounding Area:  Petosse is Close to the towns of Fontenay le Comte (15 mins) & Lucon (15 mins). The cottage is 45 minutes away from the coast and La Rochelle, Poitiers & Nantes airport are within easy reach. the cottage is an Ideal base for house hunting or taking a longer break.
