Description of Property:   The stone built building is set on two floors with an extra set of stairs to the upstairs accommodation all in the Shabby Chic style with large high ceilinged square rooms. The residents will share the house with me and two whippets. The upstairs room has its own bathroom and the downstairs room has a separate bathroom across the hall. The house is on the edge of the village of 416 souls in an agricultural area.

Outside Amenities:  The garden which is in sunshine all day is mainly lawn with some decorative areas and borders with two houses for white fantails doves flying free and one for chickens, not so free. There are tables and benches here and there for a glass of wine and a view of the house.

Surrounding Area:  The village has a boulangerie and a bar. The vibrant town of Verteuil-Sur-Charente in 20minutes away as is Nanteuil-en-Vallee with their many places of interest and a fine collection of bars and restaurants both having some sensational views and historical buildings. Ruffec is our nearest shopping centre being a well established village with a thriving indoor and outdoor market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. On this side of the village is a huge Leclerc supermarket. The countryside if beautiful and offers lots of walks across fields and through wooded areas too. Nearby canoeing and swimming is available in the summer.
