Description of Property:   The private apartment is in a 19th-century stone and render townhouse, which has been recently renovated to provide modern comforts whilst keeping the charm of an old building. We do not live at the property but are local.

It is a pretty house situated at the top of Puy l'Eveque in the main square in the heart of the village. It is full of natural light and very close to the view point over looking the beautiful Lot river and it's valley and vineyards. The sitting room and bedroom have a view of the 13th century Donjon, and the terrace has a view of the Lot Valley.

The apartment is on one level and has a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom containing a shower, wash basin, and WC. The bed is 160x200cms.
A large, fully equipped kitchen leads to the dining /sitting room area, which has an energy efficient radiator and pellet wood burner . It is a light and airy space in a fabulous location.

The door from the kitchen opens onto a large enclosed veranda with windows that slide open. The veranda, which is 10 square metres, has elevated views over the place de la Truffiére and countryside and is just a few metres from the hanging gardens viewpoint over the river Lot.

The internet is fast fibre and Orange Internet TV channels are available. Netflix, Canal plus, etc, are available for subscribers.

The house has a lockable cellar where bikes, canoes, and other sports equipment can be stored.

Outside Amenities:  The apartment has a large glazed terrace overlooking the square and with Lot valley. There is a lockable cellar providing secure storage for bikes, etc.

There is plenty of free parking in front of the property and nearby.

Surrounding Area:  As the house is on the main square, everything you need can be reached on foot. There are several good restaurants within a two minute walk. The boulangerie (the best ever), florist, chemist, point de relais and bank are all near the house, and there is a supermarket at the bottom of the village.

Free public parking is available in the square. If this is full, there are several public car parks very close, and all parking in Puy l'evêque is free. There is also an electric car charger two hundred metres from the house next to the Post Office.
Puy L'eveque is a popular picturesque village built on a rocky promontory overlooking the river Lot and the surrounding vineyards.

Puy L'eveque is a Grand site and a station verte and is designated an area of great historical importance. The village is a labyrinth of cobbled lanes leading from the 13th century donjon at the top down to the quayside. Originally used to take the wine to Bordeaux, the quay is now used for pleasure boats, paddle boarding, and canoeing.

One of the most popular tourist villages in the region it has plenty to offer from wine and food tours to boat trips. During the summer, evening markets showcase the local producers' foods .

On the other side of the river there is an indoor swimming pool, a tennis court and an outdoor children's play area.

There are many places to visit when you stay at Puy l'Eveque and the tourist office is very helpful and informative.

Château Chambert vineyard and restaurant are 10 minutes
Château Bonaguil is 20 minutes.
The church at Martignac ,which has medieval frescos, is 10 minutes.
Château Mercues with le dueze, a Michelin star restaurant is 30 minutes.
Les jardins d'Henri Martin at Marquayrol are 15 minutes.
Cahors is 40 minutes
Saint-cirq-lapopie and Rocamadour are both 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Sarlat is 1 hour.
Bergerac is 1 hour 15 minutes
