Description of Property:   La Maison du Lac**** gîte has been award 4 stars by the french tourist board. The property is a beautifully renovated barn with four generous double bedrooms, two are ensuite and there is a family bathroom with a bath and shower.
The downstairs layout is open plan with a new fully equipped kitchen. The dining area has a large table with plenty of seating for 8 and the seating area has large comfy sofas and chairs, and a lovely wood burning stove and electric radiators for the winter months. There is also a small laundry room and wc.

Outside Amenities:  From the gite the double doors open onto the secure private courtyard where there is a bbq and a covered area with table and chairs for alfresco dinning as well as day beds and relaxed seating next to the bbq area. From here you have direct views and access to the pool and the lake and gardens beyond. Guests are welcome to fish in the lake where there is a variety of fish, carp, perch and roach. The lake area is a wildlife attraction and we are often visited by deer and an array of birds from kingfisher to hoopoe as well as many birds of prey and woodpeckers.

Surrounding Area:  La Maison du Lac ****gîte is well placed for easy and quick access to the motorway A89 as well as the route national N89. The area is very calm and peaceful but 5 minutes by car we are spoilt with several excellent restaurants and a beach lake with fabulous children’s play area. There are larger towns to the 15km to the north is Montpon Menesterol and 20cms to the south is St Foy La Grande where you have hypermarkets, banks, train station etc
