Description of Property:   The Granary is a charming apartment on the first-floor of a stone-built barn which dates from the 15th Century. The accommodation is very well-appointed, comfortably furnished and with charming dual aspect views.

The entrance hallway has a computer table and chair, hat stand and storage cupboard, the stairs lead up to the first floor landing.
Off the landing is the shower room. It is tiled and has a luxury shower, hand-wash basin cupboard storage heated towel rail and WC.

Also leading off the landing is the double bedroom with beam, fitted wardrobe & vanity unit with hairdryer. The super king-sized bed converts to two singles if preferred. Surrounding Area:  Situated in the Bocage on the edge of the Anjou wine-growing area in gentle, well-wooded countryside. Wayside chapels (marking traditional pilgrim routes to St. James of Compostella) characterise this area. Wide range of bird- and wildlife. 1 km from historic village of St. Clémentin which has a bar, restaurant, bakery, riding schools and tennis. There are delightful circular walks from the house, with further opportunities for cycling, including the cycle track on the former railway between Bressuire and Nueil-les-Aubiers. There are many opportunities for fishing on our stretch of the river Argenton and islands. There are excellent restaurants, both inexpensive and gourmet. Local markets may be found in Argenton-les-Vallèes, Thouars and Bressuire.

An open-air swimming pool is 7 km away at Argenton-les-Vallées, where there are amenities, a cinema and a supermarket.

Bressuire (at 15 km) has a full range of shops, supermarkets, a cinema and a theatre, plus a new events centre with a bowling alley. Bressuire also boasts a sculpture park in the grounds of its 11th C chateau, from which a riverside walk is accessible.
