Also from the landing is the living room with dual aspect windows looking out over the courtyard on one side and the meadows and river on the other it has a fully- fitted kitchen area which contains a sink & drainer electric cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, kettle toaster and coffee maker. This area is illuminated by sympathetic recessed lighting . The dining area has a generous table seating 6 and overhead suspended lighting. The living area has a comfortable 3-seater bed settee which sleeps 2 extra occasional guests only and an antique pine dresser A 32" SMART TV with English Satelite channels DVD and free WiFI access The gable end wall has been beautifully pointed to expose the original granite stonework.
There are independantly controlled electric radiators throughout the apartment.

The terrace is tiled and has a 4 person table and chairs. There is a stunning view over the river and courtyard.
The apartment is entered through a ground floor vestibule with an additional fridge-freezer. Adjacent is a washing-machine and tumble-dryer in the port.
Whilst the interior is completely restored, tastefully furnished, the exterior walls of the barn consist of the original stone.

Outside Amenities:  The Granary overlooks a central courtyard, gardens, fields and the river. In addition to the terrace there is a garden area with table and chairs and stone BBQ where meals in the open air may be enjoyed. A rowing boat is available for exploration of a beautiful stretch of the River Argenton. Fishing with tackle available is on our stretch of river and islands. Riverside meadow and woodland for picnics and games. Games room with table tennis, darts etc.

Surrounding Area:  Situated in the Bocage on the edge of the Anjou wine-growing area in gentle, well-wooded countryside. Wayside chapels (marking traditional pilgrim routes to St. James of Compostella) characterise this area. Wide range of bird- and wildlife. 1 km from historic village of St. Clémentin which has a bar, restaurant, bakery, riding schools and tennis. There are delightful circular walks from the house, with further opportunities for cycling, including the cycle track on the former railway between Bressuire and Nueil-les-Aubiers. There are many opportunities for fishing on our stretch of the river Argenton and islands. There are excellent restaurants, both inexpensive and gourmet. Local markets may be found in Argenton-les-Vallèes, Thouars and Bressuire.

An open-air swimming pool is 7 km away at Argenton-les-Vallées, where there are amenities, a cinema and a supermarket.

Bressuire (at 15 km) has a full range of shops, supermarkets, swimming pool, cinema and a theatre, plus a new events centre with a bowling alley. Bressuire also boasts a sculpture park in the grounds of its 11th C chateau, from which a riverside walk is accessible. The following places of interest are all within easy reach: The Loire Valley (including Angers, Saumur, Chinon), Parthenay, Puy de Fou (theme park re-telling the history of the Vendée), Poitiers (and Futurescope), Nantes, Green Venice and the Atlantic coast.
