Surrounding Area:  Aignan is approximately 3 kilometres away and can be accessed either by car or more directly by foot or on horseback by a nearby communal lane (when clear).

The village has a well stocked supermarket, a chemist, two bars and two restaurants, a bakery, hairdresser, post office, bank, insurance office, tabac, doctor’s surgery and a weekly market.

There are also two hyper-markets within 20 minutes.

There are three schools at Aignan that all have a very good reputation and offer education from infants (3) through to lower secondary 15).

There are an enormous range of activities that take over the summer in this part of France, with plenty of good music, wine and food.

There are a number of major music festivals, including Salsa at Vic-Fezensac and Jazz at Marciac

On a smaller scale there are also a host of regular village fetes which are great fun.

There are many wine château and cooperatives that genuinely welcome visitors and offer excellent value.

Walking and biking in the many country lanes is also highly recommended.

On a regional level the Pyrenees are approximately 1 hour 30 mins drive away and the seaside coast about 2 hours drive. Toulouse airport is 1 hour 30 mins and Bordeaux about the same by autoroute. Pau airport is approximately an hour and chic San Sebastian in Spain is 2 hours 30 mins away.
