1st floor interior has a large open plan lounge with seating area, large wood burning stove, open plan kitchen and large dining table from the kitchen. Off from the lounge there is another room which we use as a TV room c/w English Freesat TV and a double futon. Also from the lounge is a lobby with a separate WC and 1st bathroom. From the lobby, steep wooden stairs lead to the cellar.
2nd floor: Oak stairs lead to the upstairs. At the top of the landing is the shower room, toilet and sink. 3 double bedrooms, main bedroom king size bed, second double bedroom with double bed and third bedroom with single
Ground floor (cellar) small workshop, wood store, dryer, oil tank and boiler. Outside door leads to a small rear yard.
The cottage is situated at the end of a rural road. There are 3 cottages, our cottage is the middle one. Through traffic is very scarce. One adjoining cottage is owned by an English couple who visit just for holidays. The other is French owned and they speak very good English.
Outside Amenities: The garden is across the quiet road from the house (200m²) with conifers and bamboo hedging for privacy. Wooden shed with BBQ, mower, strimmer and hedge cutter. There is parking for one car at the front of the property.
Surrounding Area: From the house you look out onto fields and woodland - great for walking and cycling. Champsecret village is a short drive away for shops, bar and fishing (rod rental available). Swimming, horse-riding and other activities are also available nearby. Great central location to visit Normandy and beyond.
