Surrounding Area: Cornac a quiet hamlet surrounded by countryside, within easy reach of the towns and tourist attractions around Civray and Ruffec. A five to ten minute walk from the house, past the ancient water tower, will bring you to "La Fontaine", an idyllic old washing station and stream - ideal for a lazy picnic or for the kids to play in. The area boasts lots of marked walks and cycle routes and has a thriving village bar in the next Commune, which is within walking distance. The house can be reached within 6 hours from Calais, 4.5 hours from Caen and the TGV stops in Angouleme or Poitiers. Ryanair fly regularly to Poitiers and Limoges. The coast can easily be reached for a day trip too.
